FIELD MEETINGS 2007

Saturday 26th May – Newbourne
To see Red Crag, active springs and other fluvial features, and building stones.
Meet at Suffolk Wildlife Trust Newbourne Springs Nature Reserve car park at 2.30pm. Wear stout footwear.
This is a joint meeting with East Anglian RIGS (Regionally Important Geological/Geomorphological Sites) members, who will have attended a RIGS meeting in the morning (for details contact Bob Markham).

Sunday 17th June – Sutton
To see recent conservation work on Coralline Crag and Red Crag exposures.
Meet at Woodbridge railway station at 10.30am; we shall be driving on from there. Bring a packed lunch and stout footwear.
This is a joint meeting with the Essex Rock and Mineral Society.

Saturday 14th July – Bury St Edmunds
To see building stones of ‘God’s Square’.
Meet at the Great Gate (Abbey Gate) at 2.00pm.
