BOOK REVIEW: Arable Plants – an online field guide

If you are interested in, or need to know about wild arable plants, and you have access to the worldwide web, this website is a well worth visiting.

This is a wonderful free resource created by Phil Wilson and Miles King, supported by English Nature and WILDGuides.

It contains many sections of which just a few are: The Biology of Arable plants, Management of Arable Land and of Arable Flowers, 12 Case Studies including Bushey Ley Farm in Suffolk and a good bibliography.

There is a downloadable key (in pdf format) to the plants and a separate one for grasses.

The field guide is also available in hard copy at the recommended retail price of £15.
