At the AGM in April 2004 two new members were elected to serve a four-year term on Council.
Richard has been a member of the Society since he returned to his native Suffolk in
1988 after working away as a computer engineer. He sits on Council of the British Bryological Society of which he has been a member for 28 years; he is also secretary of their reading circle. He has held an interest in natural history all his life and joined Lowestoft Field Club in his youth. He is, of course, the SNS Recorder of Bryophytes.
Juliet is a freelance conservation adviser. Initially her special interest was in farm conservation advice but she says, over time she has developed a strong interest in environmental education. She has a regular role in the Suffolk Wildlife Trust editing their publications. Married to a farmer (who endeavours to practice what she preaches), Juliet has three children, and, it goes without saying, leads a busy life!
