GEOLOGY FIELD MEETINGS 2004

    Saturday 13 June– WALTON-ON-THE-NAZE

Field meeting to see London Clay, Red Crag, coastal processes. This is an Essex Rock and Mineral Society meeting to which we have been invited.
Meet at the Tower at Walton-Naze at 11.00am.

    Sunday 1 August– ORFORD AREA

Field meeting to see Crags in the Orford area.

Meet at Woodbridge Rail Station car park at 10.30am; we shall drive on from there.

This is a joint meeting with the Essex Rock and Mineral Society. Saturday 21 August– BULMER and area (London Clay etc)
The meeting will commence at Bulmer Brickworks (west of Sudbury: take the Hedingham road) at 10.30am; please be there by 10.15am. After the tour, for which there will be a small charge, we shall drive on to other sites.
This is an Essex Rock and Mineral Society meeting to which we have kindly been invited.

    Saturday 18 September– WEST RUNTON

Field meeting to see glacial deposits, Forest Bed, Crag and Chalk between Cromer and Sheringham.

Meet at West Runton Gap car park (small charge) at 10.30am.

This is a Geological Society of Norfolk meeting, to which we have been invited. N.B. Bring packed lunch and stout footwear to all meetings.
