The Herons

Of a Sunday morning
Presumably after the early service
These old gentlemen
Stand on an island in the park
They look reflective
Dressed in their grey macs
And shake their heads as they discuss
The week, the vicars sermon.
Every kind of mutual this and that.
After apoint well madeEach settles backhis head
Deep into his collar
As the morning air freshens.
Soon it seems time to go.
These Cockney governors
Float off in their dreams
Towards another regular engagement.

We stopped supplying zip files of the magazine for download, with issue 53.
This is because the service was very infrequently used and it saves space on the server.
If you miss downloading however please e-mail me, Adrian Chalkley
I will decide whether there is sufficient demand for an alternative method.
