Sunday 26 May - SUTTON
FIELD MEETING TO SEE MIOCENE-PLIOCENE BOXSTONES, AS A BUILDING STONE AND (HOPEFULLY) IN SITU AND DERIVED.
Meet in the lane by the side of Sutton church (TM306464) at 2.00pm.
Bring a packed tea and wear stout footwear. This is a reapeat of last year's meeting which was cancelled because of 'Foot and Mouth'.
Thursday 20 June - IPSWICH
'FROM MANSION TO MUSEUM'.
Evening walk along the Red Crag-London Clay junction, to see slopes, springs, landslides and how human activity has changed this natural environment.
Meet outside the front of the 'Mansion' in Christchurch Park at 6.45pm.
Saturday 13 July - BRECKLAND
Field meeting to see stone stripes, pingos etc.
Meet at Grimes Graves car park (TL819900), north of Thetford at 11.00am.
Wear stour footwear and bring packed lunch.
SUMMER FIELD WALKS IN SUFFOLK COASTAL
About 2 hours duration. West stout footwear.
Thursday 15 August - NEWBOURNE
To see Red Crag and crag springs.
Meet at Newbourne Springs nature reserve car park (TM274433) at 2.00pm.
Friday 16 August - DUNWICH
To see cliff, building stones and old Dunwich.
Meet at the beach car park by the cafe (TM479707) at 10.00am
Monday 19 August - BRIDGE WOOD, NACTON
To see London Clay and a landslip.
Meet at Bridge Wood car park (TM188408) at 2.00pm The access road is between the Ravenswood and A14 roundabouts.
Tuesday 20 August - SHINGLE STREET
To see shingle coast features.
Meet at the telephone box (TM367426) at 2.00pm.
Wednesday 21 August - ORFORD
To see alluvial and coralline crag features.
Meet at the 'pay and display' car park near Orford Quay (TM 425497) at 2.00pm.
