Mid Suffolk District Council and The Independent Community Environment Forum are looking for volunteers to help with a monitoring scheme, over the next three years, to assess the benefits of grassland for wildlife, in particular insects and small mammals.
The 'Half a Mow' project has established several grassland sites throughout the Mid Suffolk area. These 'Half a Mow' sites include churchyards, village greens, corners of playing fields, etc. and are an attempt to increase wildlife diversity and enhance local landscapes within the district.
If you are interested in helping to monitor the insects and mammals on these sites and would like to know more, please contact Diane Lakey, Assistant Countryside Officer on 01449 727294.

(Volunteer expenses are available. Any specialism welcomed).
