Have you ever looked under leaves or rotting logs in woodland or your garden? You might discover some shiny dark brown / black creatures that jump. If so, you have found,a landhopper. Arcitalitrus darrieni
These little animals (actually members of the shrimp family!) were introduced to Britain from Australia. They are found mainly in South West England and Wales, The Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, South West Ireland and the Inner Hebrides, but are spreading to other areas of Britain, so I need YOUR help to map their whereabouts. My survey ends in October 2000 so there is plenty of time to spot these creatures.
