THE 81st ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
of the Suffolk Naturalists' Society
will be held at

7.30 p.m. on Wednesday 21st April 2010
in the Wolsey Room of the Holiday Inn, Copdock, Ipswich

The Holiday Inn is situated beside the A1214 about 0.25 miles north of the A12/A14 Copdock (Tesco) roundabout.
Refreshments will be served in the Wolsey Room at the close of formal business. The Society's publications will be on sale. A pay bar will be available.

Following the formal business of the Society, there will be a presentation by Martin Sanford, who will talk about his new book A Flora of Suffolk.
It is now confirmed that copies of 'A Flora of Suffolk' will be available for sale during the evening (pre-publication price for members); don't miss the last chance to purchase this exceptional book at a reduced cost.

Under the rules of the Constitution two ordinary members of Council are due to retire.
Robin Harvey and Nigel Cuming were due to retire in 2010 but stood down before completing their term of office.
Ray Ruffell, due to retire 2011, has retired early.
Hon.Treasurer and Acting Chairman Howard Mendel has stood down.
Acting Chairman Adrian Knowles (formerly Hon. Secretary) is standing down at the 2010 AGM.

The Society has received the following nominations to fill these and other vacancies on Council. Up to eight elected Ordinary Members of Council are permitted under the rules of the Constitution.

Chairman: Joan Hardingham - nominated by Adrian Knowles, seconded by Martin Sanford.
Secretary: Gen Broad - nominated by Martin Sanford, seconded by Adrian Chalkley.
Treasurer: Graham Simister - nominated by Tony Prichard, seconded by Adrian Knowles.
Ordinary Members:
Rasik Bhadresa - nominated by David Walker, seconded by Colin Hawes.
Mark Nowers - nominated by Tony Prichard, seconded by Colin Hawes.
Adrian Knowles - nominated by Joan Hardingham, seconded by Colin Hawes.

There remain vacant positions for a Programme Secretary and two Ordinary Members of Council.
